Secular Grief Support Group

This grief group is for secular people who have experienced a recent or not-so-recent loss. For those who want a place to process that loss and their on-going grief. A place to remember a loved one and to express difficult emotions — or a place to process “ambiguous” grief. A place to share with and support others in a life riven with grief.

We meet in-person and online alternate months. In January we will be meeting in person at First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis.

This is a peer-to-peer led group for people with no belief in a higher power or consciousness and for those who have no belief in an afterlife. Participants are encouraged to speak to their own loss and share their current challenges with grief. The sessions are facilitated by long-time humanist and HumanistsMN Board member, Seth Engman, who is well-acquainted with loss and grief.

We meet monthly — alternating in-person and on-line. Feel free to drop in one time or join us on a regular basis as desired. We offer no professional counseling.

This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at humanistsmn.org
