Welcome to our monthly HumanistsMN Science Fiction Book Club! We are back together in early September after a short summer hiatus. Join us every month going forward — or come as you are able.
Our September pick is “To Your Scattered Bodies Go” by Phillip Jose Farmer. In this Hugo award-winning novel about life after death, everyone who has ever lived is resurrected on the banks of a million mile long river — allowing people from any time period to interact with one another. Their bodily needs are taken care of, but the reason for this uncanny existence becomes the adventurous quest of the protagonist.
The book discussion will be from 3:00—4:30. Afterwards, join other Secular Saturday session attendees in the gallery for refreshments and socializing.
This month’s facilitator is HumanistsMN and sci-fi book club member, Jenn Morrow.
This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at humanistsmn.org.
