This month we will explore the topic of mindful writing — a practice helpful in stitching together our inner and outer worlds. Not only does writing slow down our thoughts, but it can keep us in the present moment and provide the context to constructively reflect on our observations and sensations.
Join us as we consider a variety of mindful writing practices: journaling, expressive writing, documentation, poetry, and more. How do you — or might you — use writing to help you live more mindfully?
We will begin with a guided meditation, followed by discussion. Attendees are invited to share their own life experiences and lessons with the group.
All are welcome in the spirit of compassion as we seek to support one another toward greater well-being.
Each month we explore a different aspect of mindfulness and its associated practice from a secular humanist and naturalist perspective — drawing on the experience and wisdom of participants. This month’s session is facilitated by Humanist Celebrant, Audrey Kingstrom.
This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at humanistsmn.org
