It is often said that change is the only constant in life. Even so, change is inherently challenging. Ultimately, it’s how we adapt and react to challenges that can make all the difference in our lives. By using mindfulness as a guide, we can begin to actually experience and sit with change and uncertainty in a gentle way that helps us become more accepting and agile.
Join us for this session on staying mindful in the presence of change. Exploring how to say “yes” to what is. We will begin with a short, guided meditation followed by group discussion. Attendees are invited to share their own life experiences and lessons with the group.
Each month we explore a different aspect of mindfulness and its associated practice from a secular humanist and naturalist perspective — drawing on the experience and wisdom of participants. All are welcome in the spirit of compassion as we seek to support one another toward greater well-being.
This month’s session is co-facilitated by Carol Allessee, HumanistsMN member and Healing Arts Coordinator at Children’s Minnesota, and Audrey Kingstrom, HMN member and Humanist Celebrant.
This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at humanistsmn.org
