Curious about humanism? Don’t know much about the humanist worldview? If you are one of the growing number of people who were never affiliated with any religion or you have left your childhood faith, come learn about contemporary humanism.
What is the humanist approach to the pursuit of knowledge, truth, and wisdom? How do humanists tackle ethical issues without deference to a higher power — or religion? What meaning and purpose does life have in an undesigned universe? Join us to explore these questions — and bring your own — for this overview and discussion of the humanist lifestance.
The presentation and discussion will be from 3:00—4:30. Afterwards, join other Secular Saturday session attendees in the gallery for refreshments and socializing.
Audrey Kingstrom, Humanist Celebrant and Program Coordinator for HumanistsMN, will be facilitating the session.
This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at humanistsmn.org.
