This month’s TED Salon will challenge us to find ways to have productive, civil conversations and debates across the growing political divide in this country. We will view two TED Talks — “How to disagree productively and find common ground” by Julia Dhar and “Take the ‘Other’ to lunch” by Elizabeth Lesser — followed by group discussion.
The video and discussion will be from 3:00—4:30. Afterwards, join other Secular Saturday attendees in the gallery for refreshments and socializing.
Our TED Talk Salons feature watching one or two engaging video presentations about the topic followed by thoughtful, lively discussion. We strive to create a positive, respectful atmosphere where critical thinking, personal experiences, and humanist values inform and enrich our exchange of ideas. If you’re a curious world citizen, we welcome you to the conversation!
HumanistsMN member, Sophie Phuong Le will facilitate this session.
