Humanists Picnic Welcoming New Ukrainian Friends

Join other humanists at a potluck picnic to welcome and meet our new Ukrainian friends! This event is especially intended for those who contributed in some way to their sponsorship. There is a limit of 50 attendees, so please sign up only if you plan to attend.

PLEASE READ: All attendees are expected to bring food to share (please add your item to this list; soft drinks will be provided). We will gather at the shelter at the base of the hill at the north north entrance to Hidden Falls.

Besides great food and company, we will have some lawn games. Plus the Mississippi river is close for a visit or for the old-fashioned activity of throwing stones into the water.

Be aware that, due to the family’s very limited knowledge of English, conversation ability will be minimal. They’re working hard to learn!
Children are very welcomed at this event, though there are not specific activities planned for them.
