Join us for activism and socializing to send postcards to voters who are likely to support a healthy environment and respond to climate change. Voter turnout is historically low in non-presidential elections – and in this year when there are impactful races, we want to encourage voting. We will be writing for a campaign by Postcards for Climate – a project of Green Advocacy Project in partnership with the League of Conservation Voters (LCV).
Our session will work like this: 20 pre-printed postcards per attendee will be provided. You add a short pre-scripted message and address them during the session. After the event, you add postage and mail at the designated time.
Postcard writing will be from 3:00—4:30. Afterwards, join other Secular Saturday session attendees in the gallery for refreshments and socializing.
Studies have shown that direct communication can support voter turnout, so let’s support democracy and help get out the vote this election season!
