Did you know: 1 in 3 people report symptoms of anxiety and

depression? You probably know one of these folks, whether you are aware or not.

Become a NAMIWalks Hero. Join “Humanist Hearts for Healthy Minds” team for the 2023 NAMIWalks 5K Walk event! ( a collaboration of HumanistsMN and First Unitarian Society humanists). We are walking to raise awareness of mental illness and raise funds for the important work of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. As humanists, many of us consider it intolerable that people suffer with mental illness in silence out of lack of access to care or shame – raising funds and awareness via NAMI will help bring care to those who need it.

Please JOIN OUR TEAM and walk with us, OR support our team by MAKING A DONATION to our team or a team member listed. Link:

Walk begins at 1pm – please arrive by 1215pm: come to meeting spot to find us, then check in. PARKING: allow extra time for parking. there are pay lots and some other parking in park. But they will likely be full, so look on Minnehaha Ave just north of park. Also, try Metro transit – there is a transit hub nearby at 46th St and Hwy 55/Hiawatha.

There is no cost to register and no minimum amount of funds to raise.

All funds raised directly support the mission of NAMI to provide support, education, and advocacy to individuals and families right here in our community.

Join us as we improve the lives of those affected by mental illness in our communities! It is a family-friendly, dog-friendly, tobacco-free event.
