Time to get out and enjoy the summer — in person — with fellow humanist friends, families, and freethinkers! Rain or shine: join us for our summer potluck picnic palooza! Games! Prizes! Fun for all ages! Plenty of good food! Book drive! See details below.
YOU bring a SIDE SALAD, VEGIES, FRUIT, or DESSERT to share. We encourage folks to use the online SignUpGenius form to let us know what you can bring.
We’ll provide assorted proteins and beverages:
• BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches (from “Ted Cooks 19th Hole Barbecue” )
• Vegan protein option (Details to come)
• Beverages: Lemonade and sparkling water
We’ll also provide paper plates, cups, napkins, and plasticware, but do bring your own reusable picnicware if you prefer. Hand sanitizer will be available on site, and anyone not fully vaccinated is advised to wear a mask.
This event is free, but donations will be accepted to help off-set our costs.
We’ll have a variety of activities and games for all ages and agility levels: bean bag toss, giant Jenga, trivia, badminton, and more! Plus, there’s a playground nearby for kids. Table games in case of rain.
And, participate in our summer book drive for Hennepin County Medical Center Psychiatric Unit. See separate Meet-up post here for details.
The picnic shelter has a kitchen for our use and a bathroom within the shelter.
Come socialize with friends old and new, enjoy a summer picnic, and have a good time together. All ages welcome!
