Join us this month to consider how mindfulness can help us face disillusionment, setbacks, and defeat. Life is full of disappointments — within our families, among our friends, in our work life, and amidst society at large. Whether disappointment comes after working toward a long sought-after goal, catches one by surprise, or arises from unrealistic expectations, how can we manage our emotional pain and negativity and constructively move forward with our lives?
We will begin with a guided meditation, followed by discussion. Attendees are invited to share their own life experiences and lessons with the group.
All are welcome in the spirit of compassion as we seek to support one another toward greater well-being.
Each month we explore a different aspect of mindfulness and its associated practice from a secular humanist and naturalist perspective — drawing on the experience and wisdom of participants. This month’s session is facilitated by Audrey Kingstrom, Humanist Celebrant and HumanistsMN Program Coordinator.
This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at https://humanistsmn.org/
