This month we will focus on facing the impermanence of life and living with resilience. Life is full of change – of loss, uncertainty, endings, starting over, transformation.

With another year over and a new one begun, how do we let go of what has been and face the challenges that await us? How can the practice of mindfulness help us accept the inevitable changes to our lives personally and societally and muster the resilience to go on – through “thick and thin?” What perspectives will serve us well and what resources can we draw on?

We will begin with a guided meditation, followed by some reflections on impermanence and resilience interspersed with discussion. Attendees are invited to share their own life experiences and lessons with the group.

All are welcome in the spirit of compassion as we seek to support one another toward greater well-being.

Each month we explore a different aspect of mindfulness and its associated practice from a secular humanist and naturalist perspective — drawing on the experience and wisdom of participants. This month’s session is facilitated by Audrey Kingstrom, Humanist Celebrant and HumanistsMN Program Coordinator.
