Join us for some mindful meditation and reflection – on anger. Can a mindfulness practice help a person manage one’s anger? If so, how? Our discussion will explore the role anger plays in one’s life. When is it constructive and when is it destructive? What are our objectives with regard to anger: to pre-empt, suppress, accept, re-direct, or conquer it? When does anger require us to change our perspective, change our circumstances, or take civic action?

We will begin with a guided meditation, followed by some reflections on anger management. Come share your thoughts and experiences on dealing with anger from a mindfulness perspective.

All are welcome in the spirit of compassion as we seek to support one another toward greater well-being.

Each month we explore a different aspect of mindfulness and its associated practice from a secular humanist and naturalist perspective — drawing on the experience and wisdom of participants. This month’s session is facilitated by Audrey Kingstrom, Humanist Celebrant and HumanistsMN Program Coordinator.

This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at https://humanistsmn.org/
